Welcome to Siddy Academy!

I am so rubbish at writing this blog! I am recommitting myself to do better at this from now on. Well, well, well what a year! Phil and I have spoken about home schooling since Zachary was born (now EIGHT very short years ago), but I sent him off to nursery when he was 3 years old in his little uniform of maroon sweater and grey shorts. *sniff*sniff* I can remember it so well. I filled up with tears which I tried hard to hide from my firstborn big lad. i asked him for a big kiss before he went into the massive school, to which he said "Are you wearing lickstick?"(this is what he called lipstick...awwww, so young and full of speech impediments). I answered honestly, "No, son, i'm not"....he innocently looked at me said "You should! you look better with your lickstick on."
Anyway, no sooner had nursery started it was October half term, then Christmas blah blah blah, the Gabriel started and my heart broke AGAIN! Then Ephraim was getting ready to start this September - tomorrow infact. Periodically over the years we have spoken about home school, although I wasn't sure where the law stood on it, and could I even do it? Well, faced with the prospect of all of my babies flying the nest off to school my heart was in a constant state of panic. I worry daily as it is over what my eldest two are exposed to?...what if they don't get it? what if they do get it and are left bored and unstimulated?

So after much consideration, prayer, fasting, research, discussion, nail biting WE DID IT! I de-registered our 8 and 5 year old by writing a letter to the head mistress/master. Easy Peasy Squeeze the Lemon as my 3 year say
